Third call for project proposals

The third call for project proposals is open from September, 17th to January, 16th 2019. This call supported initiatives to promote thematic objectives: research and innovation, natural and cultural heritage and institutional competence. A total of 77 project proposals were submitted, of which 53 were submitted in axis, 14 in axis 2 and 10 in axis 3.

The funding available under the third call for project proposals amounts to a total of 12,883,000 Euro of ERDF funding. 77 project proposals were submitted with a total of 48 million Euro. Most of the funding was applied in axis 1 "Research and innovation" for a total of almost 34 million Euro.

On the June, 13th, the Steering Committee decided on the financing of the cross-border cooperation projects submitted under the third call. In the meeting, which took place at South Tyrol, members discussed the evaluation proposal prepared by the Joint Secretariat, which included a qualitative assessment of all 77 submitted proposals. The Joint Secretariat was supported by the Regional Coordination Units and, where appropriate, by external experts. Previously, the formal proposals had also been subject to a formal evaluation by the Joint Secretariat. Following a comprehensive assessment, the Steering Committee expressed its support for the funding of 24 cooperation projects: 13 in the axis 1 "Research and innovation", 6 in axis 2 "Nature and Culture" and 5 in axis 3 "Institutional Competence" for a total of 15.237.202,73 Euros.
